I like to remind myself that only I can control my own actions and thoughts. It's easy to become wrapped up in someone elses drama but you must distance yourself and stay focused.

I too have tried keeping my own journal without success. I'd sit down to write and nothing would come out. I would always find my mind drifting to something else. I guess I needed to focus more.

I tried journaling a while back and honestly, I just couldn't stay focused regarding it. Making it a point to sit down with my thoughts proved difficult for me. There was always some sort of distraction or something more important to do. Although, I will say that when I did do it, the goals I had at the time came to fruition and things started moving rather quickly it seemed, because of the focused thought. Maybe I'll give it a whirl again . . .

I would like to emphasize on - "Accept that you can not control." I think it would be better if we change it to "Accept that you can not ALWAYS control".

Since, we always have the ability to control things, decisions or our actions but effects and other outside forces are of course beyond our control. What do you think?
