The Cream Of The Crop - Hiring From A Place Of Strength
What’s the real key to hiring effectively? Surprisingly, a candidate’s requisite skills or experience are not all that you should focus on.
Having the right people share the same values and vision and together, as a team, who uphold their company’s commitment to those values – that’s what makes the difference to your business performance.
Our featured guest today, Linda Finkle, CEO and Founder of Incedo Group, will help you to develop the skills to begin to hire from a place of strength - instead of weakness.
Here’s a sampling from the show:
- Employee Branding is a term used more frequently today. This term refers to a profile that may exist for a company’s ideal employee. This profile is usually more centered around who the person is as opposed to what their skills are.
- Customer service is still king. Employee Branding may be used to create an experience for the customer. Where the attitude, enthusiasm, and attentiveness of the employee towards the customer creates a positive experience for them.
- Realize their value once you’ve selected your employees. It does not lie solely in their skills. Equally important are their attitudes, eagerness, and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Today’s Trend: In addition to the above points, please stay tuned at the end of the program to the Today’s Trend segment. The Today’s Trend for this episode is: The Trend Of The Slower Growth Economy. Today’s Trend explores the current slow growth economy. Stocks are down and job creation plans are gone. The economy just isn’t growing as fast. How do you adjust as a small business owner? Avoid long term commitments, use temporary staff, invest time in keeping your current staff on board, and pay attention to your financials. By being aware of the economic conditions around you, you can adjust accordingly.
