Laurel Delaney, President and Founder of Globe Trade and creator of The Global Small Business Blog, joined us on this episode of Small Business Trends radio to to discuss 10 ways to take your business global.
Many of us want to expand our businesses internationally but don’t know how or where to start. Laurel shares her best-kept secrets she used to take her own business across global borders.
Expand your business internationally and reap the rewards of greater prosperity for your business by following Laurel’s tips below:
- The importance of a web site — cannot be overlooked or stressed enough. The first way to establish a global reach is to have and maintain an online presence.
- Establish a blog — and begin writing about industry products and topics. Then delve into detailed reviews or descriptions about a choosen product, how it was created and what concept brought about its creation. The detail adds interest while providing useful information to visitors.
- Leverage social media — sites. Provide a company and history background along with a profile and then reach out and bring in your constituents from all over the world. Utilize networking sites to make yourself as accessible as possible.
Forming a strategic global alliance is not as hard as it sounds. If you can work on a local level with a company in the United States that has a global presence, you can approach your contacts and request the possibility of transfering your local work to the international locations somehow.
You come on board locally – and travel with them internationally.
Those are the first three and that’s all we can share with you right now! Explore all of Laurel’s “Go Global” strategies to propel your business across international waters by listening to her full interview by clicking the red and yellow player below.
